John Dynon Gallery is the place to find the brush strokes of one of Australia's top-selling artists and local resident, John Dynon. Meet the outback larrikin himself in his working studio - watching him work and having a chat - before taking a look at his collection of beautiful artwork.
Next is Australia's first and only museum dedicated to 'Max Max 2', showcasing a huge display of props, life-size characters and photographs from the film. Learn about the movie’s impact on Silverton, and see original and replica costumes and action vehicles, including two Interceptors. Of course, you only need to step outside to soak in the setting that once painted the actual backdrop for the movie.
Taking the road beyond Silverton, you will soon feel like the only people on earth. The horizon is vast, offering the kind of views that seem to go on forever, and best taken in from the Mundi Mundi Lookout, just 5km from town.
